CLAIRE SOMERVILLE
Claire Somerville (left in picture) is a UK based artist raised in the village of Ash, Shropshire. Claire's rural upbringing resulted in her choice of Agricultural animals being the predominant subject for her artwork. She is heavily influenced by her Scottish heritage, being driven by her grandfather’s enthusiasm for nature, wildlife and above all, art. Claire spent her childhood feeding her love of art through painting by numbers, spending hours and hours painting them to perfection. Claire went on to study Fine Art at Chester University and then on to complete her teacher training where she has been teaching for 7 happy years.
